Jo'burg youth will revolutionise the MCSA PDF Print E-mail

Revolutions are begun out of pressure - and there has been pressure both from the President Roland Magg at the Cencom 2007 meeting, a call from our newest gold badge holder - the legendary -AdK (Andy de Klerk) to address youth at the Magliesburg sections 40th anniversary dinner held in Pretoria recently, and the voice of the youth on the mountains calls for change in the Mountain Club. Hamerkop Meet PDF Print E-mail

The MCSA has a week at the Hamerkop house in the Magaliesberg. The meet falls on the weekend of the 30 May to 1 June and is an ideal spot for a Youth Meet. Firstly the house and accommodation makes it easy for those with young kids. Then the kloof has one of the shortest walk-ins. There is a pool to swim in (if you are hot enough). For those wishing, there is also camping around the house. Depending on demand we can set up some basic top ropes or even take youths on their first trad climbs.
