"A journal, a clubhouse and a phalanx of administrative committees may seem very remote when one is poised on a rock face or prone under the trees of a Hex River Kloof... it also seems as if the men (and women) of action cannot inherit the earth unless someone administer their inheritance for them." - Henri Snijders, MCSA journal 1977

The MCSA consists out of thirteen sections spread out over South Africa and with one Section in Namibia. The Sections are largely run on an autonomous basis and each Section organises its own activities (climbing, hiking, socials etc) and issues its own newsletter.

Certain activities and policies are managed on a national basis by a Central Committee, which is made up of the Executive Committee and the Chairmen of each Section. To join the MCSA, contact the Section of the MCSA nearest to you to find out more about membership and localised activities.
