BMC International Meet

The MCSA has been invited to nominate two climbers to take part in the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) International Summer Rock Climbing Meet to be held in North Wales from 11 - 18 May 2008. The meet is the eighth of it's kind and will bring together climbers of all grades from around the world.

The BMC welcomes the participation of any climber with reasonable rock climbing experience. Grade is not an important factor.

Applicants can obtain the registration form and meet details from Gerhard van Wyngaardt (secretary@mcsa) and should urgently send applications (including a short climbing CV) to Gerhard van Wyngaardt (secretary@mcsa). Applications must be submitted no later than 25 January in order to meet the BMC deadline . Applicants will have to cover at least some of their own travel costs. It is not clear at the moment whether the MCSA can subsidise the flight costs. Accommodation, meals and local transport are provided by the BMC for the duration of the meet. Participants must contribute Pound 85 towards expenses.
